Nicole wanted to document, in her own special way, all of the dance recitals and performances she had participated in. 16 performances were captured in her lap-sized quilt and each shirt brought back memories of hard work, long practices and excitement when performing on stage. And to add a touch of whimsy, Nicole picked Purple to surround her shirts, adding a pop of color and personality.

The first quilt for 2013 has a story that touches a lot of hearts. "Pete" Passed away from leukemia after fighting as hard and as long as he could. Family didn't want to get rid of his shirts as they all meant something. So I was asked to create his special t-shirt quilt. I am honored to create these one-of-a-kind memory quilts with the hope that it brings a loved one closer and the great memories nearer.
This Memorial quilt is made out of well warn and loved "Irish Shirts" from Granddad. Every shirt brings back a memory and makes this quilt that much more special

When a loved one dies, it can be difficult to let objects go that remind us of that person. And Clothing sometimes is the hardest thing to discard. What better way to keep those memories and use them at the same time, that with a quilt made out of the clothing. Three siblings now can "Remember Dad' while snuggling under a quilt made just for them

This quilt is a combination of shirts from both the father and the son. And now that Dad has passed away, his son can use this quilt and bring his memory closer
